Top skiing holiday in the world’s skiing village
St. Anton is affectionately known as the world’s skiing village. Winter after winter, guests from all continents come here and live out their passion for skiing. This is where modern skiing was revolutionised at the beginning of the 20th century – with the “Arlberg technique”. St. Anton was the venue for the Alpine World Ski Championships in 2001. Anyone who has ever skied down the wonderfully wide pistes, enjoyed the panoramic view of the Patteriol or gone “off piste” in the freshly fallen powder snow will want to come back to St. Anton again and again.
First-class freeriding
Deep-snow skiing in St. Anton am Arlberg – that’s the greatest thing for experts on skis or snowboards. Here your white Alpine dreams can come true with powder snow and sunshine, untouched nature and boundless freedom. 180 km of varied powder snow descents make the Arlberg one of the largest and most well-known freeride centres in Austria – and indeed anywhere in the Alps. The routes above St. Anton are enhanced by the Albona area in Stuben, one of the best deep snow spots in the Alps, and the Rendl area south of St. Anton. Skiers and snowboarders with good skills will quickly become fans of deep snow in St. Anton – accompanied by well-trained ski instructors and ski guides
