Hiking offers
The Arlberg hiking region
Wonderful hiking country: that’s the Arlberg hiking region. 300 kilometres of marked trails run through the extensive mountain scenery of Kapall, Galzig, Valluga and Rendl. Experienced tourers as well as pleasure hikers will find their own personal favourite tours – to summits, viewpoints and rustic Alpine huts. With the help of the Arlberger mountain cable cars, even less experienced Alpine fans can hike in the high Alpine air with stunning views.
Niki will be happy to take you along!
“No matter how steep the mountain, a little bit of effort goes a long way!” – This is Niki’s favourite saying when his hiking guests start to flag on the mountain. Then everyone laughs and the trek uphill continues. As a certified Tyrolean hiking guide, Niki knows his mountains like the back of his hand – along with the flowers and herbs. Would you have thought that wild orchids bloom here? And after an active day on the mountain, our Hotel Montana with its wellness oasis, restaurant and wine bar is your sweetest retreat...

Rosanna Gorge
Distance: 6.6 km Duration: approx. 2 hrs. Climb: 153 metres
From the hotel, walk through the pedestrian zone in a westerly direction, past the Rendel cable car, through the subway and then keep to the Rosanna along the roadway, past the Moostal power station before coming to the crossroads at the Fritz bridge. Cross this and continue for approx. 200 m until you come to the hiking trail through the Rosanna Gorge. At the end of this hiking trail you will come to a another road, which you follow in a westerly direction until you reach the VerwalltalstraĂźe. Turn right here and follow the road. A short detour up to the Stiegenegg Chapel is recommended. From here, continue walking eastwards until you reach ArlbergpassstraĂźe, cross this and walk past the Mooserkreuz Hotel to the Dengert district, sticking to road until the signpost on the right indicates the way through the MĂĽhltobel, a beautiful little gorge, down to St. Anton.
